Jim
Leder Receives Cap. Dist. Foundation Founder's Society
Award
by IPG Bob Cressy
September 12th: Dr. Jim
Leder (on the left with Bob Cressy on the right) was
surprised with a presentation of a Capital District Kiwanis
Foundation,
Founder's Society
Award
at the 35th Annual Bethesda Kiwanis Golf Classic dinner
at Bretton Woods Golf Course, Potomac, Maryland. "Dr.
No", as he is sometimes known in jest, is for his gruff,
pointed insistence that "you will play and bring friends
to the tournament". It works. He has been the chair
of the golf outing for over thirty years and has spearheaded
raising almost a million dollars, he reckons by the
tournaments. Jim is a Bethesda Club Past President,
Past Lieutenant Governor of Division 17 and is always
active in Kiwanis projects. The golf tournament is
the major fund raiser for the Club with proceeds going
to the Suburban Hospital Pediatric Center and other
club charities. The Bethesda Club honored him with
this recognition and Past Governor Bob Cressy, his
friend for over thirty years, made the presentation.
What a great way to say "Thanks, Jim"!
